Foot Orthotics
Orthotics are biomechanical devices that insert into your footwear. These devices are custom made and are designed to alleviate pain and discomfort. A custom made orthotic enables the joints and the bones of the foot to function more efficiently while standing and in motion. The purpose of foot orthotics:
Children who are walking may benefit from orthotics if compensating for a foot deformity (e.g., flat feet, intoeing, skew foot). Orthotics are used to correct, control or compensate for a bone deformity or soft tissue ailment. A Chiropodist may determine that a child needs biomechanical orthotic devices to improve foot and leg function. |
